The currency is Polish zloty: PLN, exchange rate ca 1€ = 4PLN Please, remember to exchange some money to PLN at the airport, since this is the only valid currency in Poland.

How to get to Lodz?

1. Directly by plane to Lodz
   There is a small airport in Lodz that serves several destinations- the airport website: the best way to get from the airport to hotels is taxi (all instructions are provided on the airport website
   
   
2. From Warsaw Chopin Airport - the main Polish airport:
   
   By train:

• Take a taxi from the airport (ca. 30-40PLN) to the Central Railway Station (taxi stop is located at the front of the arrival doors) - taxi corporations recommend by the airport or alternatively use public transport -all clues on how to do that by means of public transport can be obtained from here.

• Get from Warsaw Central Railway Station to Łódź Kaliska Railway Station on train. After your arrival at the Chopin Airport you have to get to the The Central Railway Station (WARSZAWA CENTRUM) by train (SKM, line S3), and then take a train to the Kaliska Railway Station in Lodz. Afterwards, you may take a Taxi to get to the hotel.

  Taxi - 20 - 50 PLN

  Meal in a restaurant - 30 - 60 PLN

  Arrival - Warsaw Chopin Airport

  Chopin Airport is linked to The Central Railway Station (WARSZAWA CENTRUM) by a railway service. The service is operated by two companies: Szybka Kolej Miejska – SKM (Fast Urban Railway) and Koleje Mazowieckie (Masovian Railways).

We recommend to use SKM Szybka Kolej Miejska (Fast Urban Railway) line S3 to get to The Railway Station (WARSZAWA CENTRUM).

Tickets and fares
SKM trains serving Chopin Airport are part of the Public Transport Authority of Warsaw’s (Zarząd Transportu Miejskiego – ZTM) public transport network. The stops near the airport are located in the first fare zone (including The Railway Station (WARSZAWA CENTRUM)).

Where you can buy ZTM tickets:

• • at the Passenger Information Point in the arrivals hall,
  • from ticket machines placed next to the train station entrance,
  • from ticket machines in SKM trains

• take a MODLIN BUS from the bus terminal at Chopin Airport

3. From Warsaw Modlin Airport:

• Take a direct coach from Modlin Airport do Łódź Kaliska Bus Station (Modlin Bus - the timetable can be found here)
